🌍 OPEN CALL — DIASPORA CREATIVE COMMONS: THE THIRD SPACE

We are inviting visual artists to be part of Diaspora Creative Commons — THE THIRD SPACE, a upcoming exhibition taking place in a exhibition gallery in central Gothenburg this fall/winter, 2026.

THE THIRD SPACE is a platform for artists with diaspora, multicultural, transnational and cross-cultural perspectives to come together, share stories and explore identity, belonging, migration and contemporary cultural experiences through multidisciplinary creative expressions.

We welcome artists who are:
• Visual artists that can display original art in paintings, photo/ video, sculpture, illustrations and mixed media – based in Västra Götaland, Sweden
• Of African descent or with an African diaspora background
• Working with diaspora, multicultural, transnational or cross-cultural perspectives
• Professionally or seriously engaged in an active artistic practice
• Working across disciplines and contemporary forms of expression
