What drives Rolo as an architect and urbanist? The theme of his lecture is Conversions: Listen to the context. The lecture will start with a reflection of the changing circumstances of life, thoughts and ideas, proposals and opinions. Shopping disappears, having no longer a special role in the urban fabric,Landscape disappears and get spoiled by technical equipment. What is out cultural heritage, and what can we produce to be worth being protected once ? The second part shows projects in big scale urbanism and small scale architecture and landscape projects that somehow try to find an answer in synchronizing the context, giving a new meaning to structures and objects, trying to make a sustainable galvanization. Third part is an open discussion with collegues about the future we are part of.
