There will be an artist talk with Anna Sofia Jernryd, at 16.00 Saturday 23 November, about her exhibition ’Nature Is Out of Control’ at Galleri 54. The talk will be moderated by Yana Deliyska from @galleri54 and it will be in English.

Time for the talk: 16.00–17.00. After that there will be time for a mingle.

Anna Sofia Jernryd is a visual artist and photographer based in Gothenburg. She received her MFA in Fine Art Photography at HDK-Valand in 2021. Jernryd’s artistic practice includes photography, video, text and sound. A recurring question in her work is our understanding of collective identity and our definition of ourselves in relation to others, both human and non-human others. Jernryd has exhibited at Röda Sten Konsthall, Göteborgs Konstmuseum, Mimers Konsthall in Kungälv and Kungsbacka Konsthall.

Yana Deliyska currently sits on the board of Galleri 54. She was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and holds a BFA in design (Linneuniversitetet) and a MFA in fine art (HDK-Valand). Her artwork is placed within “Socially Engaged Art” and explores individualism, conflict, and human relation. She creates “social performances” where the audience engage with each other through the artwork; Yana sees the relation between these people as the artwork itself. Since 2022 Yana has been co-running the Gothenburg-based collective AIRC which also organizes public programmes.
