OM UTSTÄLLNINGEN Konstnären Basim Magdys filmer, målningar och fotografier genomsyras av poetiska detaljer och färgstarka iakttagelser som anspelar på det absurda i vardagen. Hans verk blandar humor med fiktion, historiska referenser och kollektiva vanföreställningar – i en värld där dåtid, nutid och framtid ständigt byter plats. Basim Magdy (f. 1977) bor och arbetar i Basel, Schweiz. ABOUT THE EXHIBITHION Artist Basim Magdy’s films, paintings, and photographs are layered with poetic details and colorful observations that allude to absurdity as a daily occurrence. His work mixes humor with fiction, historical references, and collective delusions – all of which seem to be trapped inside a confused sense of time where the past, present, and future constantly switch places. Basim Magdy (b. 1977) lives and works in Basel, Schweiz.
