Galleri Box presenterar duo utställningen Kopia kopia kopia med Hanne Mago Wiklund och Simon Rydén. Genom det open-call Galleri Box har, blir vi i styrelsen presenterade för en mängd konstnärskap, många som vi tidigare inte kände till, andra mer familjära och det är framförallt ett fantastiskt tillfälle för oss att upptäcka nya sammanhang och strömningar hos de sökande. Under antagningsarbetet uppstod en nyfikenhet inför de estetiska och tematiska kopplingarna mellan två intressanta unga konstnärsskap, Rydéns och Mago Wiklunds och vi är nu glada över att kunna presentera deras duoutställning.

Magos och Rydéns arbeten tar båda avstamp i undersökningar av oansenliga objekt men går därifrån skilda vägar. Mago arbetar med en keramisk avgjutning medan Rydén arbetar med en fotografisk process. Deras arbeten möts sedan återigen i de slutliga verkens intresse för skillnader och upprepningar/representation och repetition. Magos arbeten utgör här nästintill perfekta kopior av originalen återgivna i keramik medan Rydén intresserar sig för linjerna i en skrivares misslyckade avbildning.

Gallery Box presents the duo exhibition Copy copy copy with Hanne Mago Wiklund and Simon Rydén. Through our open-call the gallery board gets introduced to numerous interesting artists, many of which we previously did not know and others more familiar. It is a great opportunity for us to discover new contexts and tendencies amongst the applicants. Working with the open call, the board became very curious about the aesthetic and thematic links between the two interesting young artists, Rydén and Mago Wiklund and we are now happy to announce their duo exhibition.

Both Magos and Rydéns work takes its starting point in studies of the inconspicuous object, but from that point on they go their separate ways. Mago works with ceramic castings while Rydén is engaged in a photographic process. Their work connects once more in the common interest in differences and repetition / representation and recurrence. Magos practice provides near-perfect copies of the originals reproduced in ceramics while Rydén is interested in the lines of a printers failed reproduction.
